I LOVE Benefit! I used to use Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundationy Powder stuff until I convinced myself that if I stopped wearing foundationy powder my skin would stop breaking out (wrong). It only comes in two shades (light and dark) yet it MAGICALLY blends into my skin both in winter and summer tan days. Magic I say magic!

Complicated answer to a simple question. On a shallow level, I think I write because I enjoy it, I've been reinforced to believe I'm good at it, and it feels like one of the only art forms where what's in my head can be most accurately translated to something physical. (Attempts in painting, photography to translate from brain to paper have been much more elusive, frustrating)

I think I write because I enjoy revealing, sharing tiny ideas that are new, different, make you think. Probably why I initially got into copywriting in school - I like word candy.

This is not at all helpful. hahaha... I'll have to think on it more.

Thanks for reading! :)

Yes, blogging can start to feel like a big show-and-tell, a strange little place where self-expression is visible to the world, the fickle, fickle world. So tell me, then, since I am new to your blog, why do you write? What is your motivation? Not in a negative, why do you write kind of way, but I think that once we find the answer to that question, it really changes everything...

I saw this idea on a website back before I went to college (wow, that's a long time ago). that website doesn't exist anymore but I always wanted to make one. That one was a regular cheese grater (like the orange one but silver) with four kabob skewers attached for legs and a clear cd case plastic piece on the bottom of the grater with a corner sliced off so you could put the cord through and a hardware store light bulb kit stuck on the plastic part.

I always thought it was pretty cool but never made one, oh well.

I'm in love with the color on that Coach purse. I've had it in my shopping bag for ages- not that I'd buy it actually, I just think the color is in-sane (and I saw it in person yesterday and yes, it is!!).
I love funky pastels- done in a new way.

I love the unity of our grandparents generation... however, it sort of makes it that much more devastating when one of the partners passes. I still get things from my Grandmother with my Grandfather's name attached to hers. It breaks my heart, but at the same time, it makes the most lasting impression.
